Recap

Just at home, having a quiet day today. I’m waiting to go to an appointment, and trying to get a little knitting done. Also some reading. Maybe some sewing. Also a couple other things.

Never mind. Not so quiet.

Anyway, the weekend went so quickly! I finished a couple books, and in the interest of full disclosure, I will tell you that one was Crunch Time by Diane Mott Davidson and the other was an anthology of poetry called Seriously Funny, and I thought they were both very dreadful in different ways, and I don’t want to say any more about it, other than this: literally THE FASTEST way to get me to buy a book is for it to have one single poem that I like. I don’t know much at all about poetry, nor do I read much poetry, but if I see a poem that is meaningful to me I want to have it. Forever. Anyway, that’s what happened with Seriously Funny and how I came to own a book which on the cover makes rather loud claim to its funniness and attempts to reinforce this claim with the presence of a banana peel,  which most effectively symbolizes the sort of humor that I not only do not enjoy, but specifically avoid. However, was the banana peel meant to be ironic? Here’s the thing: I don’t really care anymore.

Banana peel: It never means something good. Lesson learned.

Oh! And now I know by math: banana peels are the opposite of rubber chickens.

That makes two lessons learned this day.

I know you wish I was homeschooling you.

Actually, I counted eleven poems in the book which I considered good poems. These were judged by my own, personal standards which may not be the standards used by anyone else,  and I cannot say that you would think they are good poems, or that they actually are good poems. These poems are:

Oh never mind, it’s all too boring.

SO, I am contemplating putting a few posts up about beauty products. I always like to read that kind of thing. It’s a little intimidating since there are so many really good beauty bloggers, but still. It seems fun. Once in a while? Right?

Maybe I’ll do that tomorrow, or maybe next week. I guess it depends on how my cuticles look and also if I feel like it now or then.

But it’s coming! I think.

Okay, that’s all for today. I want to do a few things and drink some extra iced coffees. I need to be ready to talk to this doctor!
