I pinned this picture on one of my Pinterest boards a while ago. I just loved the idea of using lace as the pockets on a garment. Later, thanks to Blair Stocker (of wise craft) and her granny square project, this crochet pattern appeared in my Pinterest feed. I thought it would be perfect for a pocket.
Today I tried the crochet part of it, and though I haven’t pressed it into use as a pocket yet, I think it will work really well. It’s a neat pattern, and I was able to pull it off even with my very limited crochet skills. I’m thinking of using it with a Nani Iro fabric I’ve been hoarding forEVER and will get the nerve to cut into someday.
I stopped the pattern when it started to turn the circle into a square because it was getting too large for my purposes. I just put 5 single crochets into each 4 chain space all around, then called it done.
I like it.

Ack! I forgot to read this when I first noticed it! I got distracted by your Christmas post!
That turned out VERY WELL! I think it will make a beautiful pocket!
Thank you! A compliment from YOU means a lot! I wondered if you would cringe at the wacky, uneven spot towards the middle…I always get those, not sure why.
