I Left My Sense of Humor In The Parking Lot

I’m here! I’m here! I didn’t leave. I’ve been so busy and overwhelmed. Nothing big, really, just the usual running here and there with church and homeschool co-op and keeping a house going and a family going, but BOY that feels like a whole lot of work right now.

Oh yeah, and this giant hurricane that’s supposed to hit us soon. HAhaha…ah. Ha? You’d think I’d be used to these waiting it out situations by now since I’ve lived on the East Coast always, but I’m not used to it. It’s only bothered me since I’ve owned my own home and had kids. Before that, hurricanes were either exciting or didn’t register with me until they hit, and then I noticed but not all that much.

Anyway, they make the radar now. I hope this one doesn’t come here.

I dragged the kids through the store that starts with W this morning. The one I love to hate? For once I bought all the things you’re supposed to buy there: paper products and chips. Canned meat. Canned everything.

I hate spending money on that junk, but these situations make me feel like I have to. If the tap water is brown and the power is out, you kind of need it.

Anyway.

I’m as ready as I can be, I think, and I guess we’ll see what happens.
